Please ask your hoster about PHP upgrade because 4.4.1 is full of bugs!!
It (PHP 4.4.1) can be a reason of your issues.

ok, in case that's the only possible answer of my problem, i asked my hoster.
he offered me to move to another server with php5 and mysql 5, is that a good deal or can i get some problems with php5 and pixelpost?
or if someone have another idea what i can do right now, please post!

to be honest php5 has as many problems as php 4.4.1 but it might work better with this problem. i've never seen anyone having this problem with php4.4.1 before and there are a surprising amount of people with php4.4.1. it's worth a try though...
(in the meantime i'd suggest changing your configured imagepath to ../images/ and double check that cookies are enabled in your browser)

'] i've never seen anyone having this problem with php4.4.1 before and there are a surprising amount of people with php4.4.1.
i have exactly the same problem, i don't know if it's related to php4.4.1.
could it be a problem with the sessions? cookies are for sure enabled
I searched this forum and see at one point early in the beta, there was an issue with staying in the admin pages. I didn't see what was the result. Mine is especially bad on the addons admin page (I am completely unable to change any settings as I'm bumped out of the admin screen anytime i press a form button.). It seems to stay in admin if I'm adding photos or updating previous photos, but any other screens shoot me back to the login page. Also, if I don't do anything for more than 30 seconds to a minute on the images admin pages, I'm bumped out as well...
Any ideas?? (I've tried deleting cookies & cache, happens same in Firefox and IE...)

Marc...Do you have the Addon "Anti-comment-SPAM" active? I was the one having that problem. It seemed to go away when I removed that addon. I recently reactivated it and the issue returned. I'm going to try to remove it again and see if I stop getting bumped out of admin mode. The cause may be in there...

php 5 is not just a newer version, it has different architecture than PHP 4.
PHP 4.4.1 is not old or obsolute! not at all. The bugs that appear in using PHP 5.1 and 4.4.1 is from some modification in the base behavior of PHP. Those where quite reasonable changes that PHP developpers applied. But it will cause problems for many many PHP scripts.
I'm a PHP 4.4.1 user.
And Im a PHP 4.4.2 user because it works without problems which occured in PHP 4.4.1.
