Hello I have a domain with Aruba, an Italian provider, and doesn't let me change the permission to 777 of the images and thumbnails. I know that for instance http://www.aladingenius.com/theMagicLamp has Aruba too and his/her blog runs perfectly. Sooo can anyone guess what can I do? When I upload a photo it says:

Error
Upload went without error.

Well...I'd be pleased if any of you know how to deal with Aruba. Thanks in advance!

Well more problems, I get this...

Guessed imagepath: /photoblog/images/

Configured Imagepath /photoblog/images/

Image Directory: Does Not Exist (should be /photoblog/images) - Thumbnails folder not writable!
You must set correct permissions on this folder or you will not be able to create any thumbnails.
Set the folder to chmod 777 (read, write and execute permissions for owner, group and world).

Thumbnails Directory: Does Not Exist (should be /photoblog/thumbnails) -

Language Directory: Does Not Exist (should be /photoblog/language)

Addons Directory: Does Not Exist (should be /photoblog/addons)

Includes Directory: Does Not Exist (should be /photoblog/includes)

Templates Directory: Does Not Exist (should be /photoblog/templates)

But the folders are already there...I don't get it.

I would contact the guy who runs the other blog at that hoster and find out how he did it

but I remember there was some discussion here in the forum as well on that topic, did you run a forum search?

ask your host why you don't seem to be able to chmod the folders.

if you don't have access, the hoster may do it for u. it's not a big deal

Well they say in the conditions you aren't able to change the permissions. The problem is I get everything fine in general options but still get that error.

I tried to upgrade to 1.5b but I can't even login, cleared coockies, changed to a different MySQL database, changed pass and username...I'm just desperate now...:(

without chmod 777 you don't have the chance to use PP (or any software to upload files)

a host that won't let you change your folder permissions isn't worth the money - whatever you're paying.
