Installation nightmare!

Hi all, I am still having an installation problem which Connie started to help me with, but we have not resolved. To recap, when I am at Step 1, after I enter my name and password and click create tables, nothing happens! I am running the most uptodate versions of PHP and mySQL and my server supports them. I uploaded all contents of the zip file I downloaded, and edited the pixelpost.php file. At someone's suggestion, I added a couple of lines of code which prompt the pixelpost to display all errors, and the following errors come up at Step One:

Also, register_globals is on. Please help!!!! Sorry to be such a pain.
