old posts has problem with characters

After I upgraded to the latest version, I realise that some post where I have chinese character title or words has become a bunch of garbage. But the new post after the upgrade is ok, how do I recover the old post words?

It was a long way

I had a lot of wrong special characters in my database as well

you can always edit the images, titles and notes in the admin section
or you can correct that in the database as well

I recommend to edit it in the admin section
it is some work, but if photography is your passion you will love it ;=)

it must be done one time only and it gives a good chance to come over the old images again, many are forgotten already ;=)

yup. sorry about the inconvenience - there are ways to backtrack in the code but you'll have to do this for every future release and in the long run it's just easier and quicker if you edit your images now.

the problem is, I dont even remember what I wrote there and it's important for me to keep my old writings as they reflects my feelings at that time. Is there anyway to figure them out? they are kind of like garbage words now..
