hi folks,
with the new features like mods or addons added by most of you, and bugfixes like RSS, Pixelpost is growing very well, but I think now it's time to collapse all these improvements into a new Pixelpost version.
what do you think about? the task should be easy, just taking all the good things we see crawling this forum, such as exifer, links categories, and so on.
We should just find a person who makes that... Ramina?
cheers :)

Dear Steff,
whom do you tell this? We all know this
I made a list of necessary things to do two weeks ago and this list is outdated already...
but pixelpunk, the author of this script, promised to be back soon, but has no time in the moment, unfortunately

Hi Connie,
yes I know that Pixelpunk is very busy at the moment, unfortunately... I was just wondering is someone like you or Ramina or someone else has time to collapse all new things into a new version - no new code writing, just patching all the mods into one, if possible (I am unaware or php, don't know if it'spossible)
Anyway, we could use this thread to discuss which features should be added and how, and so on :)
just my 2 cents :)

oh my dear, "just add patches" => do you know what that means?
It means to compile all patches that they work together with the original script, that one modification does not break the next modification ...
and it means to evaluate which patch is necessary (bug fix), most-wanted or just personal dream but not necessary for the majority
this is no easy task at all :o
and I myself am not such a perfect programmer beside my job with actually 13 -14 hours a day...
and one very important thing: How to do such a task without the main developer, behind his back? Not very polite...

Hi!
I think it is a good idea to use another thread to discuss the addons and modification that are more usefull and majority of people use them. This could be good basis for the next version.
I saw you mentioned my name and I want to say thank you but I think I'm not in the position to write a new version! Pixelpunk is the author and technically even if I had the experties needed for new version it would be a disaster to put my nose in someother's code without nessesary documentations, bug list and.... Besides, I think it is not fair:).
However, we could be helpful by nominating addons and modifications for the next version!
Let's think positive and use this thread as a start.
