I'm not a techie person and i've read the instructions and its just way above my head. I've tried to create my own photoblog but it looks nothing as good as pixel post and people can't comment on my photos. Pixel post is just far tooo complicated. Its certainly not simple to set up for the non techie persobn like me.

Grrrrr any suggestions?

it's the first time someone complain about PP being complicated. Which part is that you don't underestand? Installations are not clear enough. ask us and we will try to answer. btw, you may like to visit these sites for installation guide:
- our wiki: http://wiki.pixelpost.org/index.php/Main_Page#Installation
- a step by step guide: http://blog.wrywriter.com/?p=18
- Pixelpost tutorial: http://pixelpost.hakstege.net/

Do you have a domain and host yet?

http://www.eleven2.com has helped many pixelpost users who arnt so internet savvy get up and on their feet with pixelpost.

life is always complicated... but PP is not so complicated
if you do not find the comment - form, try another template...

I think a little reading is quite helpful from time to time..
we have PP 101 section here...

there are always two groups of users:

- people who know nothing about computers and just use them
- people who want a little bit more from computers

the first group needs assistance and pre-configured applications
the secound group members can use tools to acchieve some purpose

everything is simple if you understand it
to understand it you must be willing to learn something
PP is simple because it needs some limited understanding of web use (FTP, admin etc...)

I think you belong to the first group, because FTP, installing, etc. is beyond your user level (which is not negative meant...)
so you need pixelpost as an installed application

exactly for this group of users, http://www.eleven2.com offers pixelpost support
there is a forum section here for eleven2.com

they will install it for you and all you have to do is to set some options (select a template etc.)

other hosters offer installation of scripts, like the friendly people at http://www.siteground.com for example

so you could ask your hoster to install the script for you, if they refuse, you could think of changing to another hoster..

Pixelpost is very hard for non-technical people. Just read the last 100 posts from me. But if you want to use it (like I did) then go with Eleven2 - they will install it for you, and they have no down time (that I've noticed.)

Blogspot.com is a little shitty because they use same templates for all their users as default, they resize images on front page to so small size that I dont like watch them.
All solutions have their pluses and minuses - remember that.

PS Just like Iron wrote - as you cant handle something dont through it away just ask someone for help :) Thanks to that life is much easier :)

dont' confuse internet providers with web hosts.

my internet service provide is also bt connect but my web host is www.4uhosting.co.uk (good for us brits)

try to see past any jargon you don't understand - a good host will be able to explain anything that you don't understand. i recommend either www.4uhosting.co.uk or of course, www.eleven2.com - which offers a 20% discount for pixelpost users and i'm sure will assist you with installation.
