I am using the new Nikkor 18-200 VR lens and the vibration reduction really works! Check this shot out at 1/15 second hand held. Comments and feedback appreciated.

cool lens. though the writing on the dashboard (or whatever you call a plane's equivalent) seems slightly blurred though it's hard to tell on a screen... not bad for 90mm though.
man, you're avatar is hypnotic.

Yes there is a slight blur - but come on at 1/15 of a second, 90 mm (actually 135 in 35mm terms) with me standing in the aircraft isle with passengers pushing by me to get on and me hoping the flight attendant does not notice - you are going to get a little blur even with VR :-) So given all that, I think the lens is working out okay.
The issue I have with this lens though is “lens creep.” You have the lens retracted and walk for a while with it hanging around your neck and in a few moments it extends – the lens is loose an anything. The place I brought it have agreed to replace it.

it's nice to have the antishake feature for low light situations. my minolta maxxum 7d has the antishake built into the body so it works with all of my lenses instead of having to buy individual lenses with the AS.
