After I installed the new version of Pixelpost, I have been plaqued by spam in excessive amounts. So I went to the "Ban Lists" section to see what to do about it. But so far I havenīt been able to find the .htaccess. Where is it located, and where to put the code?

the .htaccess file must be created in the root directory of your Pixelpost installation
the code, which must be in there can be created in the options / spam section
the file must be ASCII
you can copy the created code into the clipboard
copy it into a textfile
upload this to your PP folder at your webspace
sometimes FTP - clients do not show "hidden" files (files which have a . before the name.. ) so check if your FTP-program shows all files

Thx Connie
Turned the hidden files on, and couldn´t see any in the root. So I copied and pasted the code into a wordpad dokument as ".htaccess" and uploaded it to the folder. Thats it?

So how often are you supposed to performe this action? Every day? As it is right now I get around 50 spams a day, and most of them are unbearable long, 200 words or so. I also installed "Akismet" but I doesnīt seem to work!?
Then try to install CAPTCHA addon.
