Thumbnails not created

I keep running into problems with thumbnails : very often (but not all the time), they are not created, and I need to recreate them to get the proper thumbnail for the latest uploaded picture.

I tried different settings (yes/no), on/off for 12CropImage… I can't find any logic.

Any idea what could go wrong ?

Phil,

maybe your server has time-outs? It needs some time to upload, move and generate thumbnails

ask your hoster to give you more time, maybe that's the reason!

Try to turn off ping addon.

Thanks, you're probably right, I've experienced a couple of error messages related to timeout due to ping.
