I have seen a few pixelpost blogs that rather than showing links for 'previous' 'current' and 'next' images they actually show the name of the image linked to. Is this an add-on. I can't find it.

hello!
first whould be great and helpful if you tell us where you saw this because then it would be much better for us to study what you want to get....
second would be nice and agreeable if you could use some hello, please and so on as well. don't throw something before our feet...

no it is not an addon. It is from original tags of pixelpost and you can use them in your template
these are the tags
<IMAGE_PREVIOUS_TITLE>
<IMAGE_NEXT_TITLE>
you can use them in the links.

ok. I worked it out myself... just in case anybody else finds this useful:
for the previous image link with title of image:
<a href="index.php?showimage=<IMAGE_PREVIOUS_ID>">&lt;&lt; <IMAGE_PREVIOUS_TITLE></a>
and for the next image link with title of image:
<a href="index.php?showimage=<IMAGE_NEXT_ID>"><IMAGE_NEXT_TITLE> &gt;&gt;</a>

Dear Guest,
that's exactly what Ramin told you, so I think you didn't work it out yourself ... with a little help from the friends ....

jeeez - you guys are friendly. i was only passing that on to help others out - raminia didn't make it all that clear - as the <IMAGE_PREVIOUS_LINK> includes the whole <A> tag so sticking <IMAGE_PREVIOUS_TITLE> straight into it isn't possible. hence why i used the <IMAGE_PREVIOUS_ID>.
But whatever, you obviously don't care.
