View Full Version : xml parse error
I'm suddenly getting an XML parse error on my feed. It was okay yesterday but this morning, there is an issue.
I don't know XML at all so any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

1) a very fast fix is not to use "&" in a title, comment etc.
2) please tell us which Pixelpost version you are using, because we fixed these problems quite a long time ago!
Sorry...didn't even think of that:
1.5 rc1
PHP-version 4.4.1 (Pixelpost's min requirement: PHP version: 4.3.0 )
MySQL version 4.0.25-standard (Pixelpost's min requirement: MySQL: 3.23.58 )
GD-lib bundled (2.0.28 compatible) with JPEG support
File Uploads to pixelpost site are possible.
Server Software Apache Web Server
EXIF Pixelpost is using exifer v1.5 for EXIF-information.
That was it...I had an & in the photograph file name.
Thanks, Connie.

which version are you using? Maybe you should upgrade!
but beware: a special character in a filename or a space in a filename is never a good thing, as most webservers are Linux / Unix etc. and these characters can turn out to special characters!
please be careful with filenames!
Connie,
I'm on the newest version. :-)
Also, as someone who works in technology, I understand about filenames. However, the ONLY application that I have trouble with while using the ampersand (&) is Pixelpost. I can use it in WordPress, MG2, Drupal, etc. Pixelpost is the only one that doesn't process it well.

we are working to make it bulletproof.. all these characters will be converted to "harmless" characters...
