Hi
I just finished making this template and and I would like some feedbaack to improve it. you can leave your feedack here or on my website. I tested it on firefox, IE6 and Opera so far it is OK. I really need Safari testers :).
Thanks for taking the time to comment.

I like it, One question, though, will it break if the photo displayed is a portrait layout rather than landscape?

I have the same question...what does it look like with a Vertical/Portrait image?

Hi
This design is oriented towards the look of the website so it is not flexible when it comes to the size and shape of the picture. All the pictures here have to have a width of 800 px. and portrait pictures will look fine if their width is 800px, but you have to scroll down a little to see the whole picture.
A smaller than 800px width and you'll have a white space on both sides of the picture. Or you with use of CSS you get a thick border around the main picture. However, I have another version that doesn’t use a wrapper-think the box that has all the page content. The later one is much more flexible and can accomodate different sizes.
Hope this help.
I think the design is very clean and neat. The colors and logo are well matched. However, IMHO, given the square shape domination, i.e. the square container, the square border around thumbnails, - the domination of 90 degree angles is quite clear. Which is exactly why I think the mac-styled tabs clash with the overall design. As well as the prev / next buttons and the color scheme buttons. Just try making them square (by square I mean really rectangular, the corners need to be square, not the dimensions) and see how it looks. The other solution that would make it work would be to make rounded corners for main container and thumbs.

Wow! Love the site and love the pictures. My father spent much of his child-hood in Newfoundland. Your pictures of the area rekindles my fascination with that area.
Few thoughts about the template:
+ Love the white template! It’s totally awesome!
- Not digging the black template. Needs some serious color smithing or eliminated altogether.
- “Style” font seems a little big for the “light” & “dark” buttons.
- About Page: I’d drop the text down a bit from the navigation buttons. Seems a little crammed.
All and all, love the site. Great job!

I like it, it's sleek and fairly unique. I would make the over effect fot the thubnails blue, to match the buttons. But that's just me, right?
You do NEED to get it W3C and CSS valid.

I like the design - very clean.
However I am not fond of the 3D buttons, they dont fit the design and are not eayse to read.
