I've ran into a strange problem when I decided to add a border around my images with CSS on my photoblog. I'm wondering if you guys see it too:

http://www.gentlesea.com/

if you click through the images, when using Internet Explorer, on some photos and not on others, the photo loads only partially! There is a strip missing about 3/4 of the way down, which goes away when I roll over the photo.

I've messed with the CSS but can't figure out what's causing it. I know other templates use borders and I don't have this issue with other sites, only when I customized my CSS.

Please advise.

Thanks

did you validate the CSS and the HTML?
The best way is always to validate, to be sure to have really clean code and then start to find out what is causing the special problem

you have 4 HTML errors, and the CSS validator comes back with this:
Please, validate your XML document first!

Line 27

Column 44

The content of elements must consist of well-formed character data or markup.

so cleaning error after error, you will find the solution, I am sure
there is info in our wiki how to use validators...

Works fine for me using IE7.

What kind of ISP connection do you have? I checked it out with IE6 and on one photo (http://www.gentlesea.com/p472.html) I saw a glimpse of what I think you're talking about. But with cable modem here, it only lasted a split second.

BTW, nice photos.

this can also happen when there are some broken images in the cache
clean the cache from inside the browser
clean the from the harddisk as well

and clean the code as I wrote in my last posting!

It has nothing to do with the hoster, only possibility could be a very slow redirection ...

thanks, I tried the cache, and I still get the stripe on some photos. I'll check on other PCs as well.
