mine takes about 2.5 - 3.0 gigs a month. the minimum obviously depends on how many visitors you are getting and the size of your photos - of course, the minimum could be 0 gigs a month ;)

a host limits to 5GB, I'm going to use it. but I always think it too narrow.
eleven2 has 75GB! but cannot sign it up for I have no USD, haha.

im sure you can still use e2 through paypal or such, but setting all that stuff up can be a pain, but i recall currency changes to be pretty minimal

granted, i used 6.2GB and placed 2nd in Best of Photojournalism blog category, and nominated for photobloggies 2006, so with those links giving me a lot more traffic than normal, that was all i used.

All depends from how many visitors you have and from avarage size of photo (in KB).

Im transfering 5-6 GB with avararge 140-200KB each photo but I got additional photo archives on same domain used in other places then only photoblog.

I run a tutorials section on my website that brings in a lot of guests, otherwise i don't think my monthly transfer would be so high.. ^^

I dont have spammers attacks issue or at least I dont know about them :P

All depends from many things. For example Im hosting on my box official site of Polish Football Team Goalkeeper - ArturBoruc.com. Avaradge transfer in last months was around 15GB/month. In this one this is 150GB and its still rising :P

I think 5GB is enough for my nameless photoblog. :=D

some hosting has unlimited transfer, but low credit or worse service.

Unlimited transfer is impossible in hosting :)
Some companies "provide" it, but we usually see them go out of biz rather quickly!

only a 5gb limit?

my account currently has a limit of 2208 GB of bandwidth per month and increases 16GB a week. of course that is for my account and spread throughout all the domains set up on that account (currently about 12 domains) but it's still a hell of a lot, more then i would ever need.

god i love dreamhost :)

you'll love dreamhost till something goes wrong, it's hell to get things fixed for some reason...lol...and closing your account is like closing an old AOL dialup account, takes 4 emails and 18 phone calls of offers to get through it all...

I was a happy dreamhost customer for about a year and a half, well as happy as I could be cause i didnt know what other hosts had to offer. They my server had a router failure, it was all downhill from there. Oh well...godspeed to all dreamhost customers.

I must admit though, their actual server admins are very nice, you dont get to talk to them as a customer though, only reason ive spoken with them is because we worked together to resolve pixelpost issues on dreamhost.

i've been with dreamhost for about 7+ years. lately they been having some problems and hopefully it's just growing pains. i've personally never had a problem with their support, it would be nice if they had phone support but they've always resolved major issues very quickly. i really can't complain too much about them because my account is basically paid for from referrals, it's tough to complain about something that is free.... and i have all the storage space and bandwidth that i could ever want.

i use b-one if any of you know them, but they also provide unlimited bandwidth.

Just started my site and I'm at about 1gb a month. I've been using www.pluginspace.net for the host. They seem to be "okay". My intent is to switch to eleven2 once I get the site fully designed.

I'm with dreamhost too, hopefully all the latest problems will stop soon. I use anywhere between 4 and 6 gigs a month although they provide much more than that.
