Over the past two days or so, every once in a while if I check my own blog, I get:
Coming Soon! Nothing to show. No image to show here!
Then a little while later, it will show what it's supposed to. Any reason why this might be happening and what I can do to make it not happen?

Now it actually is staying that way and nothing will come up. This is rather frustrating.
Also, it seems, once I changed the name of my forum, the top part of the one default where it shows how many photos are posted -- that disappeared.
Argh.

there is some issue with yoru database connection, could be from the server...i would ask your host if you are not getting an error from this odd behavior

So if that note comes up, it means the database can't be read? Because obviously it's still reading pixelpost being the note is actually showing something with "image" in it. I'll contact my host, I gues, but it just seems really odd. It just happened to me this morning again and is getting pretty frustrating.
If from time to time you can see picture it means that all is fine except DB state.

If that comes up, it means the database doesnt seem to have anything in it, as if you never posted a photo. When you install pixelpost this page would show up before posting an image.
also, which version of pixelpost are you using?

I contacted my host and they checked all the database stuff and said it's working fine.
They wrote back: "We have put a test script to test the mysql connection of this database and it shows that it was successfully connected." They also sent me the link for their test to the DB and it shows it's working fine. (Well, says it connects fine).
They also wrote:
"Since the database used by the blog is working perfect, the issue is due to some misconfiguration in the code. Kindly contact your webdesigner or the support of blog for having a detailed check."
I went to my admin panel and you can see all the photos there, so thankfully they are still all up.
I am also using the newest version of PP (1.5, I believe).
The note is still coming up as I go to it, so I imagine it's been up there all day. :(
Anyone have any ideas? I hate having my blog down. :(
Thanks!

Even more odd. I get home from work and still getting the same message.
Now, it comes back (in firefox). But in Internet Explorer, still the same message about the no image. Why in the world would this happen?
Ugh. Maybe I should have kept my blog on blogspot. :(
Just to add as well, I'm still seeing it and can go to the archives in firefox. But a friend, who saw it a few minutes ago, now can't see it again.
Something seems really wrong here. Anyone know some things I can do to try and fix the problem?

as long as your db info is correct, the issue either lies with the host or a funk between pixelpost and your hosts setup, but i promise this is nor a normal error, ive never seen it just flip on and off like this.
please post your server information so one of the geeks can review it here.

What kind of server info would you be looking for?

So nobody else can help here?
What info would people need? And what else can I check? Things were working fine when I put this on my site and now I can't get it to work at all, which really stinks.

By server info, it means go into your PP admin page and copy/paste the information from the General Info tab. There may be something in there we can start to work from...

Problem fixed for now, so I pulled out some info about my site.
Hey Softball,
Let's do a little troubleshooting...
Just wondering two things: 1) What's going on within your admin section? Can you still see thumbnails of the images you've uploaded?, and 2) Do you have a custom template with a whole lot of work having gone into it? If not, it might be worth trying out a quick reinstall of Pixelpost to see if the trouble is in your setup or with your host. In my understanding, during the setup the DB's not touched so you won't loose any DB info (images, comments, etc.). Just don't create new images and thumbnail folders! ;)
I'd start there.

1. Yes, I can still see everything
2. No, just using the Pixelpost dark basic template.
If I was going to reinstall, would I just delete the current PP, then put it back in? If so, that will likely have to wait until after work tonight!

Apparently a reinstall of everything seemed to work. Now I can get everything. Which means I'm not going to do any edits to any files or anything on this site. Cause I had uploaded a couple templates and also added the time/date thing in there. So I don't want anything to go wrong again.
So make backup (of DB and files) to be sure that you have rescure option for future.
