connection reset while uploading photos

i can upload very small images but when i try to upload 3mb files, i get a connection reset error and the image doesnt show. it was working fine until today. i use dreamhost. anyone got any info?

why are you uploading 3mb photos to start off with?

Almost nobody wants to watch 3MB photo - its too much for internet and smooth browsing through site.

because dankster has too much free space and don't want too many people to visit his site. :D

There can be a problem of too big file (check how big files accept your PHP server setting - upload_max_filesize) or upload can be too long (there is max_execution_time setting in PHP config or max_input_time) or even file can take too much memory to be processed (memory_limit).

err it resizes the pictures for me and it doesnt end up 3mb it ends up 200k or so....

it was working before and now it just hangs...if i hit stop on my browser after i feel like ive waited long enough, the picture shows up but the thumbnail in the admin section doesnt......

does it mess up if you upload a web res 200k photo though?
