Upgrading from 1.4, which files?

Hi All,

I'm planning to upgrade from version 1.4 to the current version, and the MeadMe_upgrade.txt file has me a bit confused...

It says "3) Open the file /includes/pixelpost.php from the UPGRADE-files and edit it:"

Where is "UPGRADE-files"? Does this refer to a folder which used to be included in the zip file? Which files do I need to replace in order to upgrade? I don't want to break my blog (which is the reason I haven't upgraded yet..)

UPGRADE files is content of the package with new PP's version.

So it means that we have to check all the files? I didn't know that :-o So I have to check everything almost from the start :-(

upgrade files are the files, in case of upgrading, which come with the new package

if you read the readme - file, you will learn that you must unzip the new package to a directory on your harddisk
in that directory you must edit the pixelpost.php

then, I am sure you have a ftp programme
in most ftp-programmes you see the local files in the left half and the remote files in the right half of the program window

then you transfer all files from the left to the right

this is not complicated and we always try to do everything as easy and clear as possible, but we can also expect some understanding from the user ;=)

this is a large update, there is no patch option...all files must be replaced as to not miss anything.

in the future updates may come in patch options, but thats depending if we change the pixelpost code structure or not.
