Tags on New Pages ?

Please forgive me if this has been addressed, but to qualify I did search first and could not find the answer to my question ... so here we go.

Why is it that when i create a new template page to be used on my site that the pixelpost tags do not work? They seem to only work on the default pages. I would like to create a new page that can pull images/thumbnails and info from the database using the pixelpost tags.

I have also used sensuous' minicms addon, which is excellent by the way, but does not support tags.

Any help/direction would be much appreciated.

Actually I am not sure how that helps me. I need to be able to use tags to call pictures, thumbnails and information in new template pages I create like prints_template.html. Example:

<IMAGE_NAME> <IMAGE_THUMBNAIL> <IMAGE_ID>

But tags dont show such data. You tag images and when you click on tag then you go to i.e. page with thumbnails of images taged with this what you clicked.

I think you are misunderstanding me. I do not mean tags in the "flickr" "web 2.0" sense of the word. I mean tags specific to PixelPost that draw from the database.

Now I get it :) To get data which you wrote above you need to mod code of /index.php or just write own addon (what would be the best option in this situation).

This is exactly what I want as well. I haven't a clue how to even start writing an addon to do this, but I would be mega grateful if someone could write the add on.

I have already searched the addon section and forgive me if I am being dumb but what myself and Mikeb were enquiring about does not seem to be catered for in any of those addons.

The nearest I can find is whereby the latest thumbnail can be displayed in another page but what we want is this.

1. After browsing the archives a user sees a photo he wants to buy a print of.

2. The user clicks a purchase prints link and is taken to another page that displays the thumbnail of that print together with its title.

Again - it could be me that is not understanding correctly something that already exists. If it does could anyone point me in the direction of th addon.

mmmn - not sure - i dont want recent thumbnails - I want a specific thumbnail and specific title to appear - one that corresponds to the exact image being currently viewed which could one week old or a year old.

Is it me, or am I just not explaining this wishlist very well

Vernon: Thanks, but no. I have already got this working and this relates to the shopping cart at paypal not what is displayed in a template.
