Help with centering and others...

I am new to all the html stuff and you all have been so helpful so far. I have my blog looking pretty close to how I want it, it looks good in most very browser I have tested it in except explorer. For some reason in explorer the main images on each page are shifted to the right and the headers are not looking right. Any suggestions on how to fix it where it wont mess up the overall layout in the other browsers?

also I was wondering if it is possible in pixelpost to have the archives save per month like on this site near the bottom:

I still like my archive page but over time I am wondering what will happen when I have a ton of images on this page.

one last note..at the bottom of my page I have the following links that were from the orriginal templet I started with:
Valid XHTML | Valid CSS | RSS 2.0 | ATOM feed | Powered by Pixelpost 1.5

I have errors in the Valid areas of HTML and CSS that I dont understand am a bit worried about making the changes. Any input there would be great as well.

Some error fixes:

Line 52 column 126: required attribute "alt" not specified.
Add alt="alt text" to image tag

Line 52 column 130: end tag for "img" omitted, but OMITTAG NO was specified.
You have to close the img tag like this: <img src="" alt="" />

Line 81 column 5: end tag for element "div" which is not open.
You have an div close tag too much. Just count.. :P

also I was wondering if it is possible in pixelpost to have the archives save per month like on this site near the bottom:

<BROWSE_MONTHLY_ARCHIVE_AS_LINK_PAGED>, that's the tag you need.
