As far as I know this problem is only limited to IE as in Firefox they still seem to display just fine.
I recently upgraded to the newer version of GeoS Show Category (30). Now, though, when browsing with IE the thumbs in my archive page don't shape up in nice 8X8 rows anymore but take one single row, messing up the layout. Before the upgrade thumbnails displayed just fine in both browsers. I haven't changed anything in the CSS, so that shouldn't be the problem; hence, I fail to see where things may have gone wrong (especially because in Firefox it still works flawlessy).
Here is my archive page:
http://sabcat8.freecoolsite.com/portfolio_pp/index.php?x=browse&pagenum=1#portfolio
Does anybody have a clue why?
Thanks,
Sabine

Gruezi Sabine,
did you validate the website?
did you check with Firefox Webdeveloper?
I see 20 HTML errors, many many errors
if you follow these points and fix it, the problem with IE will vanish, I am sure
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fsabcat8.freecoolsite.com%2F portfolio_pp%2Findex.php%3Fx%3Dbrowse%26pagenum%3D 1&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&ss=1&verbose=1
so you will eliminate the problems step by step, I am sure

Hi Connie,
thanks for the answer.
The validation problem is not unknown to me. I got rid of the problems generating from my code but unfortunately I can't do a thing about those generating from the host's code (ads).
Having done that, the display problem still remains. Reverting back to one of the older versions of GeoS Show Category (1.4) solves it momentarily, but that's not a viable solution as I really need the new functionalities of the latest version.
I reckon something within the code of the addon doesn't quite work as it used to be, or else it gets misinterpreted by IE. I still haven't a clue.
More or less I would search reason in CSS. Put spaces between images (<a> tags of thumbs) and all should be fine. Remember when IE gets long code without spaces inside (long text or many images without space between <img> tags) then it cant break it in its natural way.

Even though I had made no changes to the CSS when I went from v1.4 to v30 of the addon, the problem was indeed in the style sheet. It should be all fixed now.
Thanks for the help :)
