Error Mysql

People. Hi. I new. And I have a problem. I donwload pixelpost in to my computer. I chaged pixelpost.php with my dates and upload the folder. And I created an account on www.addyour.net. I dont know anything about Mysql. but this error appears in my site "Connect DB Error: Lost connection to MySQL server during query Cause #2"

changed pixelpost.php with your dates? what do you mean?

you must create a database in your account, edit pixelpost.php to match these database settings, upload the files, then run admin/install.php and follow the instructions

come on, Pixelpost does not expect that you pick the moon from the sky to get it working!

in the readme file of PP there is a list what PP needs:

an installed database, php support etc.

before you install, you need the information about the database name, database user password etc.

if that is too complicated, you can always ask your hoster's support to install it for you

if they do not, you can move to another hoster.
There are hosters, who install it for you !

Eleven2.com is "the" hoster for that, they even give you 20% discount if you come for Pixelpost!

this write in PixelPost.php:

$pixelpost_db_host = "localhost";
$pixelpost_db_user = "user_X";
$pixelpost_db_pass = "****"; password
$pixelpost_db_pixelpost = "user_databaseX";


this mistake marks me if the information of the base of information are correct? :confused:

that i must do to correct the mistake and to be able to continue with the installation... :rolleyes:

It means that you have an error in DB config and that there are at least problems with password (MySQL see it as empty).

It is not always our fault if all this is too difficult for somebody
life is like that

you have at least 2 alternatives:

find somebody who configures Pixelpost for your
or start to learn about webserver installations, HTML and all that


and the 3rd:
Learn to be patient.
We found that you are not patient at all.
You want that others solve your problems in "your" speed.
You want support but you are not willing to understand the help

nobody here was born with all this knowledge
everybody tries his best to support you

if that is not ok for you, there are always other possibilities:


you could ask your hoster's support to install it for you.
Good hosters do that
you could move to another hoster who offers to install and customize it for you.
Eleven2.com for example or siteground.com will do that for you
you could check out if there are other systems which fit your
level better.
But I doubt that it will be easy as well. All these topics demand a
little devotion: devotion to learn and devotion to understand.
That's how life is.

Try to change host from emiargentinefileplacebiz to localhost.
