I just installed PHP/MySQL on my laptop (Mac Book Pro), so I can develop offline. However, when I try to upload an image to PP 1.5, I get the following error:

Safari can’t open the page “http://mikelangelo/blog/admin/index.php?x=save”. The error was: “lost network connection”

Thoughts? Suggestions?
Everything I can think of tells me mysql has the proper permissions. Images and thumbnail folders have permissions of 777. Until I try to load an image, everything seems groovy. do'h.

edit: here's my PP info.

a very simple google search might have shown you that not everything what happens in the world, is caused by Pixelpost ;=)

On home or public wireless networks, your WiFi connection might drop unexpectedly for no obvious reason. This kind of networking problem is especially frustrating. It's also more common than you might think. Fortunately, solutions exist. Consult this checklist to determine why it is happening and how to prevent it.

from http://compnetworking.about.com/od/wifihomenetworking/tp/connectiondrop.htm

you might check other connections .. read the suggestions in that article etc.

good luck!

I'm pretty sure it's not anything to do with wifi...'cause I'm viewing and serving the site from my own laptop. As far as my understanding goes...this 'should' be an instantaneous upload of an image since I'm asking it to 'upload' to the same machine.

I should have been more clear, I never thought there was a problem with PP on this issue... I put all the PP info up to show that it's running fine... I was really hoping someone might have a thought of why I was having this problem when I'm hosting everything on my laptop and viewing it on the same laptop... I would think that 'lost network connection' would be less likely to happen. ;)

thanks for the link, tho'!

uhm... yeah... about this little problem... I don't know how..but it works now. I guess I have more reading to do about how the network connections work on Mac OS X running Apache/php/mysql to itself.

Thanks for your response, Connie!!
