View Full Version : I can't get into the admin of my site: fatal error!

Hi,

I'm getting this:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare crop_image12_make_ready() (previously declared in /homepages/27/d84930296/htdocs/doodleblog/addons/admin_12CropImage.php:78) in /homepages/27/d84930296/htdocs/doodleblog/addons/admin_12CropImage.php on line 77

When I try to access the admin area for my site. Any ideas? The site seems to be working OK but I can't edit anything or add tomorrow's image...

do you have more versions of the crop addon?
check your addon and admin folder.

you should have only one version in the addon folder.

Thanks for the quick response Vernon. I haven't got two copies of the crop addon but I did add the comment_field_hasher.php addon recently. Would this be causing a conflict? Anyway, I've removed the CropImage addon and everything seems to be OK again.

Hold on. Am I alright to just remove it? I'm not entirely clear what it does (!).

perhaps you should remove comment_field_hasher.php addon and leave the crop addon .
check if the problem is still there. if not, then there is something wrong with the comment_field_hasher.php addon (in combination with the crop tool)

in any situation like this it is the only way to remove all addons and add one addon after the other to check out and define which addon causes this trouble

you must understand that there are so many addons out there and nobody can check all whether they fit to the new versions or not, that lies in the reponsibility of those friends who write these addons and publish them

we are glad that there are so many addons out there, but because of that we do not know about their compatibility

so just strip down all of them and add one after the other, by that for sure you will identify the incompatible one
