comment form email address required field

I have searched for an answer to this question but can not find one. Hope you can help. I am getting emailed comments where the sender has not included their address in the for. I did not think this was possible but it seems to be in my case I am using current version of Pixelpost and Simple template. Is there a fix?

It is possible as email field is only optional.

that is a question of Javascript for example, it is not Pixelpost
you can search the internet for tutorials how to check forms and how to use Javascript for that
there will be a javascript which you integrate into your template and which will check the input

for example have a search at http://about.com
