i like pixelpost. friend of mine likes gallery. gallery is great but its clunky. pixelpost is 1,000 times better and it's pretty.

my problem is multiple users... simple in gallery, apparently not existant in pixelpost, given discussions i've read.

is it possible to install pixelpost repeatedly and separately... like, at: www.website.com/photoblog & www.website.com/photoblog2 & so on?

or would multiple installations on the same server no matter the directory screw things up?

failing this... does anyone know a pixelpostish gallery theme so i can make that clunker look like this gem?

you can install as many copies of pixelpost as you want on one server (depending on how much your database can take)... simply by adjusting the database table prefix in your pixelpost.php file (where you put your database details in) for each installation.

okay, so i'm working to add multiple blogs. i'm no expert with mysql and that's probably the source of my problems, but i can't get pixelpost to install to the database's i set up.

i started out with:

xxxxx.mysite.com/user1

and installed pixelpost there. It works wonderfully.

then i created a new db:

yyyyy.mysite.com/user2

with a new table prefix. i changed the settings (correctly, i think) in pixelpost.php and in functions.php. in fact, i've made sure that the original db isn't listed once in pixelpost.php... and yet, the install puts on the tables onto the xxxx.mysite.com host & db and not into its own section.

i can still load pictures, but i have no addons so, for instance, there's no way to autoresize the pictures.

any thoughts? ever heard of before? i've searched the forums/wiki but wasn't able to find anything

There is a basic difference in the two programs that you are trying to compare Pixlepost is a photoblog while gallery is ummm... a gallery :) See

Also I have found that people who hate Gallery usually love Coppermine...
