I have a problem with the footer I have on my webpage.
As you can see in the screenshot, most of the time, it shows up layered on top of the photo. A simple click of the refresh button is sometimes enough to send it to the bottom where it should be... but sometimes even that doesn't work. So far, I know this issue occurs in Safari (Mac OSX) only. I've tested it in Firefox, and there isn't any problem. Internet Explorer just crashes without loading the page so I don't know if it exists there (not because of this problem though... probably for some other reason).

How can I correct this?

I had a similar problem which I talked about in your 100% height post. I believe it's because of the absolute positioning. I'm convinced that not all browsers can cope properly with absolute positioning because they're not exactly sure where the bottom of the page is.
It seems to me that your design should work fine without absolute postioning.

I don't think absolute positioning for a footer is a good idea.

If you just order the divs correctly in your HTML, then their natural flow should determine the order of elements in your page. i.e, if the footer div is placed after the image div, then there's no way it will appear above/in/on your image.
