To Robot or Not Not To Robot...

Hi,

As many of you can tell, I am new to web hosting. If this is not the place to post this type of question, please let me know. I see references to setting up a robot.txt file to help fight spamming and email collection. Since I am so new, I have not received any spam. My question if I create a robot.txt file is like inviting spammers? or is it better to do it now before they find me? is this inclued in the anti-spam add on?

If I do create a robot.txt file. What should it's chmod be? and is this correct?

Disallow: / EmailSiphon
Disallow: / CherryPicker
Disallow: / EmailWolf
Disallow: / NICErsPRO
Disallow: / ExtractorPro

i don't know if it's really something you should be worrying about if you're not getting spammed. my blog isn't exactly new anymore (all in all i've had different versions of it for a couple of years now) and i never get spammed. of course, i don't have a comment system right now but that was only removed fairly recently and not because of spammers.
