View Full Version : Error publishing comments

Hello

I'm starting to receive my first comments on http://pix.philipus.com (whohoo) but when I go into the Admin page to moderate/publish them and press Publish selected I'm taken to this page http://pix.philipus.com/admin/index.php?view=comments&action=masspublish.

That page is like a very ugly version of the latest image post on my site, ie without any formatting at all, just bare html, and also without the actual image. When I paste the address into a new window I see that it actually is the address of the comments moderation page. It's all very confusing.

Any thoughts?

Thanks
akvin

Try to reupload all scripts from /admin

Thanks GeoS, i've reuploaded, but to no avail. It's bizarre. I've tried publishing one comment, two comments or all three unpublished comments but nothing works. If I select all unpublished and press "Add to moderation queue" I get a red message saying "Masked 3 previously published comment(s)." So the system appears to believe they've already been published but they don't show up on the site...

Any more ideas?

Thanks

Ps. Note that I did manage to publish one comment earlier. I simply selected it and pressed "Publish selected".

Check in DB their status of publication. It can give some important info.

Hi again
Where do I find the DB? I assume the comments info is saved in an ftp folder but i cant find it.
Thanks

Its saved in MySQL DB not at ftp accessible folder (in common situations).

i found the DB and all entries are "ok". I also tried repairing and got the result "ok". Then I looked at the individual comments in phpMyAdmin and changed the publish status to "yes" and finally it works and they show up.

Question: Should I *really* have to publish the comments this way? Has anyone had the same problem?

Thanks
akvin

It would be nice to see screenshot showing us this problem. It should work fine as noone in last few months didnt give us info about problems with publication of post. There was only "hack" comments issue but now it is solved.

Im not sure I understand what you'd like to see a screen shot of. However, I've added two screen shots here http://philipus.com/2006/11/16/problems-with-pixelpost-comments

Hope this helps. If not, let me know

Maybe you have some addon which kills proper work of script or any other stuff. Do you have some PHP errors info in content of this page?
