templates showing up blank

I am having a problem viewing the "pepper" template. I uploaded it into the templates folder, but when I choose it in the options, I get a blank page. Also, inside my templates directory, there exists a pepper folder, but it's completely empty. No matter how many times I upload it, nothing shows up there. Anybody know what's going on? I'm also having the same problem with the "functional" template.

try to find out whether you uploaded the template in BINARY MODE with your FTP-Program, it should be ASCII mode!

I had it set on AUTO mode, which is exactly how I uploaded the other templates, and I am able to switch to them fine. Either way, I just tried it doing ASCII mode and, still, I get a blank page when I select that template, and there's nothing in my pepper folder, even though I JUST uploaded everything and I can see the files sitting in the folder on my FTP program.

so it is not a general problem at all, but these two templates bring the problem?

I uploaded it and I choose it in OPTIONS and I got no blank page...

so I don't know what could be the reason..
