I just installed today. I activated the horizontal calendar, but there's nothing showing on the page. there's some gibberish, little squares at the top, (which also show on the addons page.
What could be wrong with the calendar?
How do I activate addons?
Appreciate any help.
On a different point. yesterday I agonized over the mysql login not working. Well, it seems I had to enter the IP address, not the host name or locahost. Just mentioning it for future reference for all..

if thumb is not showing you have some other problems.
tags should be placed in the templates! HTML. read the Forum/Departure Hall section.

I aldready re-installed the dark template from a new download and it's still not working. The light template has the thumbnails and calendar, but at the top is still gibberish where the "about" and other links should be. Please view the site at

At the addon page, the addons are listed as installed Why arene't they installed then?
Also, if I have to intall them, I need to know where to put the tags for the addons in the code. i read the install/departure hall forums and there is nothing about that.
Thank you for any help.

describe your problem I could not help you by just saying it's not working!
some addons enables some new tags. these tags are design tools for you to desing your site in the way you want to. The addon is installed which means you are able to use the tags. if you don't use them that's your fault.
Are you familiar with HTML?

The light template shows the thumbnails and calendar and the title, but has gibberish at the top. It has boxes across the top with the word text a few times. I could not copy it here.
The dark tem. does not show the title, cal. or thumbnails. That's exactly what's wrong.
