I have an issue with comments on my blog as pointed out by a friend today, and I have verified the problem. When looking at a photo, other then the current photo, and I click on the add comment link it jumps back to the current photo and does not display the comment entry form at the bottom of the page. This seems to only happen with Firefox. If I try it with IE6 or IE7, it works like it should. Any ideas or suggestions would be most appreciated.
Thanks!

for some reason the link for the comments is for the root of your photoblog. have you edited the template at all?
Same answer should be for your problem as is here:

Now that Christmas is behind us, I have some time to look at this. GeoS had me look at another thread and my index.php file looks good. Yes, I have done some editing to the image template, however, I compared my online image_template.html with the un-edited file from the zipped package and there are no differences in the comments module. I use PP light template and I compared it to PP dark, light uses a form while dark uses a pop-up window. I changed to the dark template and with Firefox I can add comments to any image.
If I was to replace the comments module in PP light image_template.html with the code used in PP dark image_template.html, will that work? Are there other things I need to be aware of before I try this?
Thanks in advance and I hope everyone is having a great Holiday Season!

The problem is the link behind "Add Comment", it leads to http://depthof-field.com/PhotoFlog/#addcomment (no index.php, no "showimage" get-variable). So it is clear that the link leads to the main page which shows the current image.
At my blog www.blog.uhlig.at I use the same mechanism for comments and it works (link behind "Kommentar hinterlassen" is http://blog.uhlig.at/index.php?showimage=326&category=8#addcomment and it is working).
I compared the source code but cannot find any differences... Sorry, no help, only perhaps a hint to find out the problem

KArin,
I understand what you are saying about the link behind "Add Comment". I do not know how to fix that or why it works with Internet Explorer and not with Firefox. After I do a complete backup of my blog, I need to do some experimenting and see what I can come up with.

Change is good? I changed templates to the "Simple" that comes with the PP package. The problem with Firefox does not exist using this template. I need to update the "about" page. I would prefer to use what I was using, but many of my visitors do not or will not use Internet Explorer and I fully understand as I have switched to Firefox myself.

yes, I've tried that in a test blog and know that simple template is working correctly at this point. No idea why, no differences in source code.
So simply using simple might be the solution...
Or try to copy the comment part of simple into the pp light template...
