my another site has a folder named "banner", it's built by the program. I tried to use <img src="">, but the image refuse to show up. and I also tried to directly type "http://www.mysite.com/banner/4343.jpg", it gave me a blank page. I had tried 666,777,755 on both folder and files.

I tried to name it "banners" , still not worked.

I named it "bannersss", it works.

can apache stop to show the content of folder "banner" ?

do you use something like adblocker? Images with "banner" in name or path are often blocked.
do you use something like webwasher? Images with "banner" in name or path are often washed.
do you use something like personal firewall? Images with "banner" in name or path are often fired.

yeah! it's ok now. I'm using a personal firewall. I had thought it problem of apache, php, server. ;-(

be sure I did.
I had a great advantage: I didn't know anything about PHP (guess it wasn't even invented yet?) and considered Apache living in a wigwam. I really got mad when proudly creating the first banner of my first homepage and nothing to see...

I want to apologize if my first answer to your question was sort of snotty - I forgot the smilie that was really meant with it (had a picture of you in my mind sitting at the opposite of the world smiting your forehead when reading it ;-)

LoL* KArin

*means "lots of love" here:)
