Getting this error coming up and I don't know what it means:

Warning: move_uploaded_file(......./pixelpost/www/images/black sail pass tarn.jpg): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in ......./pixelpost/www/admin/index.php on line 443

Warning: move_uploaded_file(): Unable to move '/tmp/phpAQsGMA' to '......../pixelpost/www/images/black sail pass tarn.jpg' in ........../pixelpost/www/admin/index.php on line 443
Error
Upload went without error

:!:

Any ideas?
It says it went OK but there's no thumbnail in the folder, no images, and the index page is the default file - unchanged.

what is the program-path
what is the image-path

always the same questions.
You can also read the FAQ, http://www.pixelpost.org/faq/faq.php?answer=7&cat_name=Installation&category_id =2#7

doesn't this seem to be similar to your error message?

1) check if the directories images and thumbnails exist
2) check whether they have the correct attributes : 777
3) sometimes it is not allowed to move files from one directory to another, the webhosting companies disallow this sometimes for security reasons

then our script will not work

we are no tibetan monks here... must we repeat everything all the time?

tell us if these answers helped you,
good luck,

My install is recognising the thumb and image folders, and they are chmod 777.

So if what you say is correct, possibly my host does not allow moving files - which is not something you mention in your preliminary description, and not something I could have anticipated!

Anyway, assuming that is the problem, is there any way round this? Anything I can do to override it, or even hack into PP and change soemthing so it might work?

you might ask the support of your hoster or search the supportFAQ there,
if this is the case then it is done by some security reasons and you will have no chance to hack PP

you should find out whether your hoster restricts the copying and moving of files between directories

if so you have no chance (with that given hoster) but you will find other hosters for sure

are you at dreamhost.com?

I am running my own server and getting this problem.
Do you know which settings in my OS X server that I have to change to allow moving files between directories?

Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks!

yes!
check the security permissions on your local server
