hi all,
i tried to add the email in comments funcionality to my index.php file, but it doesn't work properly: i get the visitor's email addresses in the notification email pixelpost send me, but all the comments (previously posted ones too) in the popup comment window disappear, even if in the main page che comments counter works.
Any advice?

Hope I made my self clear, cause I speak a little english.

no, I forgot to run the add_comment.php to update the sql...

yes. I just know a little of html and nothing about php, sql etc... so when something works is more than great for me :-)

can you show us your hack in the index.php and/or comments template? i've been thinking about adding this functionality because there are times when i would rather respond to people via e-mail then through comments.

I have modified my copy of 1.4.1 so that comment email comes from the person who made the comment (if their email exists), that way I can just hit reply to comment emails. Is this something I should put in the next release?

Nope. Email should be for all comments because sometimes someone stupid can write some fucked up things.

Yes, it was to Rob.

This email notification gives possiblity to moderate all comments what is very good thing.

This email notification gives possiblity to moderate all comments what is very good thing.I still get all of the emails, but when a user comments, the from address on the email is that of the person that comments so that I can easily reply to them. I kept hitting reply and forgetting to change the email address, so all of the replies kept coming straight back to me :oops:
