Hello all,

I searched but could not find an answer. I would also like to apologize if this is a stupid question and/or a waste of your time :)

I installed and have been using pixelpost 1.5 for a few months now. my URL is www.fotoforay.com/pixelpost_1-5/... I was thinking of changing this to either .../pixelpost/..., .../blog/... or maybe just www.fotoforay.com.

I don't have an issue with moving the site to the new URL, or forwarding the old pixelpost_1-5/index.php to the new URL.

My question is, if I had submitted links to say photofriday or posted a permalink some place would those be forwarded as well. For example:

Old URL: http://www.fotoforay.com/pixelpost_1-5/index.php?showimage=70

New URL http://www.fotoforay.com/index.php?showimage=70

Is it possible to autoforward this page to the new page...in addition every ...?showimage=*** page to the new page?

I appreciate the expertise and time you take in reading and/or answering my question. Happy New Year.

Just move it. but so far I know, all your submitted links must be changed manually.

You can place an index.php in the old folder to forward visitors to your new location, but if you're planning on building a new site in this folder this might get a little tricky.

Thanks guys. Correct me if I am wrong but will the index.php autofoward an address with ?showimage=xxx after it, to the new URL and append the same ?showimage=xxx to it? Thank again for responding.
