I can't log in to my admin (only went through the initial install which went fine this is the first time trying to get back in). when i give it my user name and email address to get a new password, i get:
You did not mention email address at all!
If you have no clue about your password, leave a message in Pixelpost forum for help.
well, here i am posting! any suggestions how i could reset it or something?

i've just realised that i may have messed up the databse that i installed on my server. i actually had a really hard time getting it installed, and rather stupidly tried to delete and re-upload my database (via FTP). i suspect this is a big no-no so maybe that's my problem. when i re-upped my database there were two files which were unable to be uploaded.
once again, any suggestions? there is a "database repair" button on my admin which i have pressed and it says it's done it.

could seomeone tell me what user name and password i am supposed to enter when i get to the admin page for my pixelpost? i just reinstalled and it didn't ask me to CREATE a username and password, so which one i it asking me for?

Did you remove the pixelpost database information?
If not then it was not overwritten.
I beleive pixelpost is set up to create tables if they do not exist so log into your database and "DROP" all the pixelpost tables and start the installation again.

And database upload by FTP is impossible. The reason no password could be sent is because you first have to get into the admin to set the email address

thanks. i've done a few things:
1) i've dropped the pixelpost related databases from my database admin page (there were a few! hopefully i did i correctly)
2) deleted my pixelpost files and uploading and then installing
3) i've emailed yahoo (my providers) to ask them if somehow i can remove the mysql / database from my server and re-install, because i'm sure i've done irrepairable damage when i downloaded all the files and re-upped them. i guess what i'd like is to re-start :confused:
does this sound like the right course of action?

if you would have done serious damage to your database, pixelpost wouldn't show up anything but a database error.
It sounds as if you have deleted some values in the config table, so pp cannot check the username/password correctly and won't find an email adress.
Have you tried with empty username/password acess? (This may work if config table columns are existing but being empty)
