I'm trying something a little new, a little different from my standard photoblog. Some of my images have been through some processing in photoshop, and people usually want to know what I did, what techniques I used, and what the original looked like.

So I created a new photoblog for just that reason: After & Before (http://www.pnjwood.com/ab/).

This shows you my final image, and when you hover over the "Before" button, it shows the original.

Let me know what you think.

i think this is great. i like how you have the exif data included and also explain some of the photoshop techniques that you have used as well as the filters. i think photoblogging is all about sharing.

i understand your after&before photoblog is focused on photoshop techniques but it would be nice to hear the back story on the technical data (exif data). great work and i will look forward to your photos :)

I really like the template, it is nice to have landscape and portrait style to display the page

That is great! And like fred-eric I like the way changing between page style depending of photo format.
You know I did that before-after-thing as an Addon?

Wow, I didn't know that! I'm going to take a closer look at your addon, maybe I can improve my technique.

your technique is great ;-)
The fade-script of the addon makes troubles with dark images viewed by IE, IE seems to steal some pixels. You can turn it off anyway.
But I think you will find the admin things useful: you can upload the "before" image directly in upload process in new image menu. You can change the "before" image in image edit menu.

have fun with it :-)

That is a great idea, I really enjoyed going through the photos and watching how they looked before they were processed. Very nice.
