Hi All,
Someone recently pointed out this issue to me, but I'm lost as to where to go from here..
I haven't made any changes to the site other than adding a new template recently.. When I've done this previously, I haven't had this issue..
Now when someone leaves a comment at www.splendor-solis.com it says:
----------
The requested URL /index.php was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
----------
Any help is very much appreciated :)

Does your new template require you to use a modified index.php file?
I also tried making a comment and i received the same error.

Don't believe so.. AFAIK I have never modified the index.php page at all..

Hmm, seems strange.
I would have thought that the index was modified.
I took a quick glance at the comment form code and made sure your links all worked and everything seemed fine except for the comment submission error.

Well, I'm stumped.. I wonder if I should just reinstall.. hopefully I can do that without losing all images, etc?

The 404 error occurs when some variables do not match when posting a comment.
So compare the comment form (HTML) to one of Pixelpost's own templates. You'll see there are some hidden fields in there. If these values are not found a 404 error can occur.

Well I had Transcending send me his index.php file and sure enough the save_comment function was heavily modified.
Everything should be working once he adds the missing javascript for his comment form.
Just something to think about, If your commenter's have Javascript disabled, they will not be able to comment.
If this bothers you, i would suggest leaving the javascript out of your comment form and replacing your index with a clean, un-hacked version.
Just make sure to make a backup of the hacked version first. Other functions besides save_comment may also be modified and then you'll be in trouble!

All sorted.. Thanks to you both!
It was, as above, a missing script from the new template..

Is it possible that Google Analytics or other webhost monitoring software can tell how many viewers have javascript disabled in their browsers?

I'm not sure as i don't use google analytics, but, if google uses JS to track visitors then I don't see how google will be able to track a visitor with JS disabled ;)
