Xscape template

Hi folks,

I've had Pixelpost powering my photoblog for a couple of years, but recently finally decided to learn some CSS and create a template on my own. I wanted the PhotoBlog to match the layout of my web-site and I *think* I've done as much as I can, to this point. With the exception of some feedback.

So, if you wouldn't mind - I would appreciate any critiques or ideas for improvements:

that is not bad indeed! It definitely looks different to all the other photoblogs out there.
What I don't like:
Things are "sticking" to left and right margin, I think a little bit more padding would be better.
On my 19" monitor the partitioning of the page hurts my eyes, I don't know why. Making the browser window smaller it looks ok, the main image on the left and the info in a not too wide vertical bar on the right. In full view the info field becomes very wide, and with the right-aligned text without right-margin it looks somehow lost in space.
And I think the validation-Buttons are too large.
I made a screenshot of the 19" view, you see what I mean?

I know what the problem is... and I think there is an easy fix. I built the template through an HTML table and set the width of everything on percentage, so that it adjusted the width of the table cells and overall width on the size of the browser window. On higher resolution monitors it makes it look horrible. We have 1900x1600 screens at work and I finally looked at the blog yesterday there. I will need to go back through and use a pixel value to define a set width to everything.

This should fix the partioning of the layout better...

I think I will fix the text alignment, as well. I was contemplating moving the image info data to align to the left and thinking about it a second time - I think I will...

As far as the validation icons go, I was hoping for smaller icons from WC3, but they didn't have any. I can very easily remove them and add hyperlinks in the credits near the bottom for a more streamlined look.

I'll work on the fixes this evening...
