Next / Previous Image Link Issue

I have created a tool bar which includes the Previous / Next image link. I substituted the link for an image using the language file, which works great....thanks to previous posts I found.

However, in the first image the Next link is not displaying because technically there isn't a next link, and the last image doesn't give a previous image because it is the last one.

Is there a way to substitute a grayed out version of the link so it doesn't screw up the alignment of the other buttons? Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

to what you want to link to?

there could be an addon which could add some code when there is no more entry, but I do not know if there is one already out, I think not so

I will just take that item out of my toolbar, and put it down next to the image.
