View Full Version : After upgrade PP1.4. to 1.5.Final charset UTF-8 broken

Dear,
I'm just upgrade my two years old ver of PP, 1.4. with more than 300 shots to ver 1.5.final. I used always and everywhere charset UTF-8 but now in new ver I have in Admin/Images broken charset and the same in gallery. And RSS feet.
For example

I can repair all texts by hand, but it's quite hard job :-/
Can you help me, please? Thanks advance.

PS:All images in buffer with future show-date are vissible now...

About the UTF-8 problem, I'm not sure what the cause of this is. Perhaps someone else can shine a light on that.

As for the images in the buffer: have you logged out of the adminpanel?

Buffer is working correctly now, but I really don't know what happend.

I just started rewriting texts in DB manualy...I remember problems with charset in addons, especially few last addons for 1.4. and 1.5.

Looking at the generated source code, it appears that the characters have been completely modified.

It may be possible to figure out which characters it has subbed out and then do a Find/Replace and fix the wrong characters.

It's a thought.

Yes, I thought the same, but:
ad1 I'm not expert for MySQL DB
ad2 characters are changed without the same "key", for example (if you can see it in you browser)
›=ě and ď=ď

Nothing changed manualy. I clicked on "instal" after upload 1.5.files on server..it's uncanny problem.
