Link to <IMAGE_PREVIOUS_LINK> tab as part of image map

Hi! I have created an image map at the top of my new website (entropyhotel.com), and I want to try to have one part of that image map serve as the link to the next image, and another part of the image map serve as the link to the next image. Nothing seems to work. If I set the link for the image map to &lt;IMAGE_PREVIOUS_LINK>, then some gibberish appears directly above the image map and the link does not work. Is it possible to create such a link?
