(edit: sorry... I think this might be better suited to the Pixelpost Help discussion.. if a Mod wants to move this thread, that's cool.)

I use 2Advanced Hosting...unfortunately, they only have MySQL version 3.23.56... (at least for the poor-man's hosting option)... Version 1.6 of PP requires 3.24.58.

Is that a critical difference for PP 1.6 to function on my site? Or will that version difference only effect a few features? According to 2Advanced support, on the shared hosting plan, they don't have direct control of the MySQL version on their servers... They have such marvelous Tech Support, I'm hesitant to leave them for someplace like www.eleven2.com (which sounds really good)...

Thanks for any info, thoughts. And thanks VERY MUCH to all the developers for continuing the work of Pixelpost! I'm looking forward to upgrading soon.

You should be OK.

Upload a test copy and if everything works than you know you're good to go!

yay... I've got it installed and it appears to be workin smoothly, now. So, i guess I'm OK afterall!

I even solved my problems with the paged archive... turns out that I'm just not as smart as I'd like to think I am. It appears to work well wit MySQL version 3.23.56... thanks to all. The new admin screen styles are pretty nice.
