Server crash, uploaded backup, missing images

I wonder if anyone can help with this one:

The server crashed and I lost my blog. I had a backup file on my pc which I uploaded it and it worked fine. There is one problem though. The images I uploaded before the crash are there, but cannot see them or get to make them appear in the archive again. Has anyone had this kind of problem before? Does anyone know what should be done? Do I have to post the images again one by one?
I appreciate the help?

Do you have a backup copy of the Database?
That is where all of the photo descriptions & titles are stored.
If you have that, you should be able to restore it up to that point.

If you don't, you may have to use the "Pixelpost Copy Folder Contents" addon to add the photos in mass. Unfortunately, this addon won't recreate all of your comments, descriptions, or titles.

Thank you for your reply. I unfortunately don't have a backup copy of the database. So it looks like I have to probably re-post everything manually.
Lesson learned though. Thank you for your help.
