Ping addon

Hi,

I've just decided to start using the Ping addon and just wondered if there was a way to schedule pings rather than have the addon ping on upload for an image that isn't scheduled to appear until hours or days later.

Any information/guidance would be very much appreciated.

Erm... just re-read the above and I'm not sure it's very clear... At the moment if I have the Ping addon set to on, it will ping the list of services immediately on upload of a new image, even if the image is set to appear the following day. This is clearly problematic(!). I just wondered whether I would have to forget about scheduling images and keep the Ping addon active (or vice-versa), or whether there's a work-around.

We were thinking some time ago about small script which can be added in manual way to servers crontab. It could solve this issue and that is not stupid idea to give it i.e. in PP 1.7

I would definitely appreciate this being built into version 1.7 if someone has time to do it. Is there an official wishlist?
