Hi.
The admin area really looks like a mess since the 1.6 release. And most of the functions won't even work. (See link below.)
Take this for example; I don't want to moderate comments before they're getting published, but I can't choose any options in the dropdown menu. I've tried them all, but they're blank.
And how am I supposed to know what the other dropdowns are fore when there's no label for them?
Just look at this image... (http://img63.imageshack.us/my.php?image=bild4to3.png)

I've tested Pixelpost using Firefox, Safari & IE and have had no problems.
Do you experience the same problems using one of those browsers?

I've tested IE6, IE7 and Firefox on multiple setups. No problems what so ever. Ow and this really should be in the 1.6 forum..

Hi again.
It looks the same in both Safari and Firefox. And since you guys don't have this problem, maybe there was something wrong in the installation?
Did the 1.6 require new tables in the database? Maybe that's what's wrong... Any ideas?

yup.. 1.6 requires the database to be updated. Most items come from the database. But if you updated you had to do an update. When you went to your admin page, you should have seen an upgrade page.

Did you update your language file. all the text that canot display are from pp1.6 final. if you use the old language file, it will be blank.
use the new english language file, and have a test.

use the new english language file, and have a test.Of course! I uploaded the newer files and I can now see the text. But still, the option for publishing comments immediately won't work.
I choose Default action for comments: Publish instantly, but the comments still needs to be moderated. :(
IMHO you didnt do full update (miss some of files).

Maybe you should should re-upload the entire 1.6 install, and make sure that it replaces all of the old php files.

IMHO you didnt do full update (miss some of files). You're right. I used an old index.php file. But now my captcha addon is broken.
I'm sorry for the off topic but, now when I have replaced all the files, I really need an anti-spam script. So I'm trying the Akismet. But none of my api-keys work. I just get the message Unable to validate API Key.
My key worked last time I used it. Do I have to register for a new blog? :l (Didn't work either...)

Using the new <TOKEN> feature in 1.6, you may not need anything else.
Try to put <TOKEN> tag to you comment form.

Once you put the <TOKEN> tag in your comment form, you need to enable the token option in the Admin site as well for it to take effect.

And please remember that the setting for comments only is for the new pictures, not for the old ones.

Thanks guys. I've now put the token tag into my form and enabled it in the admins area. :) And please remember that the setting for comments only is for the new pictures, not for the old ones.Okay, I see. :) Thanks for clearifying that!
This thread can now be seen as solwed. ;)
