STATS_VISITORS_TODAY

Hi.
This isn't really a problem/bug/issue, more of a question.

In my template, I use the <STATS_VISITORS_TODAY> variable but cannot find where it comes from in the index.php file, or any of the other pixelpost files, and would like to know where this comes from.

Is this a general PHP statistic??
