Fancyarchive 1.3 + Pixelpost 1.6 hate each other

Hey All,

Just wondering if anyone else had trouble with Fancyarchive 1.3 + Pixelpost 1.6?

When I initially upgraded from PP 1.5 to 1.6, I had a blank page as my index. In futzing around a bit, I figured out it's an issue between Fancy Archive and PP 1.6.

When Fancyarchive is turned on, my whole site is a white page, when it's off, the site works perfectly (but no archive page).

Any thoughts?

Well, who wrote that addon? They should update it to work with 1.6. Perhaps it is a minor update, and we might have some time left. If I have time I look at it, but please contact the author about this.

Open the file with an ascii editor: try setting


$display_exif = true;


to false

Good tip. Gave it a go and still get a blank page showing up. Interestingly, I access my Admin section though the rest of the site is blank...

ANy other thoughts?

Well, login to your admin panel and then visit your photoblog.

Add the following at the end of your photoblogs address, ?errors

E.G.: http://www.genestho.ca/genestho/index.php?errors

This should show you what is going wrong with Fancyarchive1.3.

Anyone make progress on this issue? I use fancy archive 1.3 and was thinking of going to pixelpost 1.6. Anyone?

No progress here and thus, have yet to update to 1.6.

I DO have to admit that I haven't yet tried to fix the possible errors... Just haven't made time for it yet. I'll post what ever I figure out.

Hi! My site is suffering from the same problem at the moment - it only works if I deactivate Fancy Archives. Oddly, it had been running just fine up until today and it suddenly went blank for no apparent reason. I hadn't made any changes to the site since upgrading to PP 1.6 some time ago.

Anyone find a solution for this? If not I'll have to downgrade to PP 1.5.

Download the new fancyarchive.php here (http://home.casema.nl/mooibroek/pp/fancyarchive.zip) and replace the old one.

This will make it work on 1.6. Please report any issues as I plan to rewrite this whole addon to match the structure of 1.6 and later versions.
