Eleven2 hosting questions and e2 demo not working..?

Hey all,

So I think i've read all the e2 related posts and I think eleven2 is the way for me. However I do a have a few questions...
Can you do web redirection? (e.g If I had my blog on journal.mydomainname.com and wanted for a user to be automatically redirected from mydomainname.com is that possible?)

I host my own pixelpost install at the moment with phpmyadmin and a synology (ds101-j) do you need to have cpanel (I don't) for the e2 kids to do it for you? If I installed the new version on e2 would the migration be likely to have issues?

Any suggestions on why i can't get the demo to work:

...? (just times out after a bit)

...Unrelated to pixelpost, but could drupal (http://drupal.org/requirements) go on e2? (As far as I can tell the requirements are met)

I'm a bit confused though, is this a new policy? (Perhaps after the e2 forums were around.) Just because there's a bunch of e2 related questions in here (for instance):
