1.6 -> 1.5

Hi.. recently upgraded to 1.6.. looks cool and maybe could finally beat the nasty spam that PP seems prone to, however many of my favorite addons are no longer functional and it has pretty well botched my whole design. I wanted to downgrade back to 1.5 ... can anyone let me know if I will encounter problems or if there is any tricks I should be aware of before making the change back ?

There's really no easy downgrade path that I know of. I have had to back out of an update before and it really pays to follow the install instructions to the letter. Specifically these two lines
"Do a backup of your files before you upload the new files to your webspace!
Do a backup of your database files"
I do this every time I upgrade and the few times I've had problems, backing out was as easy as deleting all the files and the database, and restoring the old ones.

If you don't have a database backup, one of the devs may be able to tell you whether the 1.5 files will work with a 1.6 database configuration, but I wouldn't count on it.

That would be awesome if you were able to make these addons work, from looking at the posts it seems that many people use these and it would be great to keep them functional with the latest PP. I will post if I ever have any luck myself (as I am ruling out going back to 1.5).

In the thread mentioning how to make it work with 1.6 there is the addition of another workspace. If I remember correctly there were several workspaces added right before and after upload. Perhaps these can be of assistance.

Thanks. It's a work in progress. I'll be refining and adding more features down the road.

Use the "Check for updates" link in your admin panel to keep an eye on future releases.
